If you've ever wanted to use Portent in your games, here's a quick location for you! Use it like you would a Derelict or Theme table. Even better, mix them up with an Array (p. 384 in the rulebook).
Quickstart: Using an Array, use Portent's Area and Feature tables on a 1-4, and the Inhabitated Location Theme (p. 376 in the rulebook, or p. 106 in the Reference Guide) on a 5-6. Use the Inhabited Location Theme, or other suitable tables, for Perils and Opportunities.
In Chapter 4 of THUNDERFANG, we learned about Designated Eyes, a charted, safe way to pass to and from the surface of Portent, avoiding most or all of the storms. While it's possible to get to and from the surface of Saffron without one, you'll have a much easier time with one. Though, as we learned in Season 2 Chapter 1, even with a Designated Eye, sometimes it's not completely safe.
